See Me

So I spent a few days modifying my Kappa K33 side cases and Kawasaki 33l top case. I work at night now and Wife was a little worried about me being seen. So I jumped on aliexpress.com found 5 meter red and yellow 60 led per meter Strips $5 each. Free shipping. Next to wally world for tail light lens repair tape. yellow and red, about $8. Under seat in my "project box" I added a relay to switch from 6v to 12v for brake lights. Tapped into the tail brake light. Wired it up with connectors under seat. Now I think I am seen. What do you think for a $20 project?

I think that UFO sighting reports are about to increase in the greater Atlanta region!

The lighting looks great and it seems like it will be very effective at increasing your visibility. Nice job!

Great. It adds new meaning to the word conspicuous.

Now the only thing you might have to worry about is a blind driver busy texting.

Every bit helps. Keep riding like you are invisible because you never know who sees you and who doesn't.

I think the only true way to become Visible to all is flashing blue lights. But they wont let me do that. Something about not having the shiny badge.
Thanks for all the positive responses.

Having sat in the front passenger's seat of the ambulance that took my Dad on his last ride in this world, I can assure you that flashing lights, a siren and an air horn -- all at work on a huge vehicle -- still don't capture the attention of many brain dead drivers.

That said, your project looks great! Thanks for sharing.

As a sometimes ambulance driver, I'm with Bones. I have had people pull out in front of me running code like they didn't know I was there.
