Garmin Nuvi 550 & Speedy Mount
Anyone with this combo? I've just ordered the GPS and want to make sure i get the right Speedy mount and need to know if I have to modify it in any way? Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
Can't say about your 550, but I put my StreetPilot 2610 on by drilling 4 holes and mounting the bolts. EASY job. Took power from the wire that runs the DRLs beside the headlight.

I have the Nuvi 265WT. I bought Speedy's TomTom Rider GPS Mount (I liked that it was narrower than the others) and mounted a 1" Ram Mount ball and then a 1.75" arm (I found a longer arm vibrated too much) to the GPS cradle.
The 4 pre-drilled holes on the TomTom plate matched the Ram Mount 1" Ball Rectangular plate.
Works great.
