"U Lock???? soooo whats the deal with the "U-Lock"

Still getting familar w/new 2 me 08' Versys. Looking for all the right bits.. shield, guards, aux lights, etc... but thats another story... and I got off track (whats new)... anyway... I noticed this "U Lock" thing in my owners manual and see them for sale "new" on eBay. But when i looked under the seat... no U Lock

Was this something that came standard on the 08's or no ????

Knowing it should be there is bugging me... even though I dont really know what its for

EDIT - I just realized I posted this in the wrong section.. sorry.. its cuz im missing my U Lock so much...

Mine did not come with the U lock, I have a conspiracy theory that the dealers take them off.

The "optional" ulock is an accessory sold by Mama Kawa...There is room for it under the seat, but as long as I've been on this forum do believe not one V rider out there has bought one...Ok, I've never bought one...
But what I did do (got the idea from another member) was cut out that plastic bridge dohickey so I can keep my tire repair kit and other stuff under the seat

I bought the Kaw U-lock when I purchased my bike. It is very heavy-duty, and it fits under the stock seat just fine.

But it does not fit under my Corbin seat. So, my Kaw U-lock is for sale if you are interested.

Corbin takes that bump out of the seat pan that is needed for the U-Lock. I haven't heard of too many people buying them...kind of expensive for that type of lock.

Steve

I bought a motorcycle because my wife said that I couldn't! Now I have two and she still says I can't have another one!
