SW Motech Rear Rack

Might be coming by a used SW Motech rear rack and I plan on mounting a Pelican to it. My question is, how much weight can this support? I would like to put on the Pelican, then load it with a gear bag full of photo gear, so that when I reach my destination I can actually carry the whole bag with me. And when not using it to carry photo gear, it doubles as a regular trunk.

Oh, I should add that I am looking at the 1550 and 1600 for the cases currently. In yellow, to match my Wolfman gear.

I have one on my bike and it is extremely beefy - built out of the same stock as their crash bars. It's definitely stronger than anything GIVI makes. You could easilly carry a person on it.

Thanks. That is the kind of answer I was looking for. Also considering one of the larger cubes (16x16x16 interior, not sure on the number). And I might do different cases (leave the 1550 mounted except for longer trips).

I had one on my Suzuki DR650, and that sucker could carry another bike if you could strap one on. I routinely carried a 160 pound passenger on it without a single worry.

I've got the SW-MOTECH racks as well (side case racks and top case rack). They are extremely well made, easy to remove and put back on and with the locking Quick Lock keyed fastners, you don't have to worry as much about them walking away.

I didn't relocate my rear signals either, they are still in the factory location.
