Plastic paint

My SW-Motech crash bars had a bit of rash due to a drop at zero speed.

Seeing as the bars are plastic coated I decided to try some plastic spray paint to cover it.

I sanded it back to smooth it

then cleaned it

1st coat

It says to do 4 coats leaving 30 mins in between, final coat

I know it's not perfect but it's my first go at it. looks like it needed a bit more sanding I think.

IF the little 'scratches' bug you - try putting some electricians tape on them and they'll disappear.

Putting a band-aid on a bike doesn't do much

Here's a pic of my H-B bars on the '08 after a 20 mph low-side. Covered w/ electricians tape.

While we're at it, will the gen1 (2007-2009) versys crash guard (say from DMV) fit the 2010-2013 model?
