Side cases - Deal too good to be true?

Morning!

I was searching for side cases and I stumbled across this website.

http://www.tourandride.com/browse-pr...e-33ltr-detail

The price is incredibly low (224.50$) compared to what I would pay here in Canada (404.99$). Has anyone purchased stuff from tourandride before?

Thanks for your input.

Have you tried to call their customer service #? You always could call paypal and verify their info. to see if they are a legit dealer that is still in business .

You'll probably have to buy the mounts separately.

Yes, I would have to purchase the mounts separately but it still cheaper than other places I've seen.

I believe the Kappa is the lower level Givi brand. Nothing wrong with them at all just less bling. The good thing is if the mounts fit the Givi V35 it should fit the Kappas as well.

Or was that look THEN leap?

Shad's $399 for two 42L bags and the racks is still going. Just another option.

Which brackets do these fit? Would they fit the stock Kawi ones?

if you find out for sure if they fit like the KAWASAKI Original Equipment GIVI PLX Racks that fit the V35 unit, contact me.

I have a set of the stock racks sitting in the corner unused that I would sell for 100 bucks.

I did a little search and the Kappa v33n will fit the same mounts as the Givi V35s. They are the same basic boxes just with less frills and a lower price point.

Are those Givi knockoffs, or a subsidiary of Givi?

They would look good on a black V, but I prefer the color match panel on the V35s. The V is the second bike I have had my V35s on. Bought them for my '07 Ninja 650. I think I am getting my money's worth.

Givi owns Kappa. It looks like the main difference is the door part is a one piece molding without the painted panels or fake lights. The V35s may, or may not, look better with the painted panels BUT the kappa are a lot less cash.

+1. The fitting instructions for the Givi racks (PLX447) refer to the mounts as the PLX447 / KLX447, which is the Kappa designation.

See reply 12 in this thread at www.versys.co.uk.

And as my boxes are the Kawasaki branded Givis V35 and I use the SW Motech brackets from TT and they fit with no problem the Kappas should fit any of these these brackets as well.

So it looks like any combo of Givi/Kappa/Motech will work for you.
