How wide is your butt

The 19.5" Happy Trails racks result in Seahorse 720 panniers that are wider than the bars, so I set out to make my own. Rack width is now 16.625" with a total installed width 1.5" narrower than the stock bars without hand guards.
Perfect for lane splitting in Thai traffic

I used the same design common to most Versys racks with a tie bar across the rear, but think that I will now make a strut from the top rack to the pannier rack for increased strength

Note the shortened stock turn signal. The stock signal is 2 piece so I simply removed the base plate and covered the hole in the bike with PVC sheet. This mod alone saved 2" in width.
Should have washed it before taking this pic

Sweet... And now I understand your need for the Steibel horn... Thai traffic.
I spent nearly four years in Thailand back in the day... Udorn and Korat. I fully understand your needs now.
Man, I miss that place!

Nice! You should add a cushion to the B+W to lean back on!
