Cheap or Free Highway Pegs

Well after lurking on ADV and here for awhile. I found a guy who made highway pegs out of a scrap aluminum bar.

Well it happens that I have an old mountain bike handle bar, which is old and bent slightly. Chopped it up, and cut grooves into it for traction. Wrapped in an old bicycle innertube. Plastidipped. Two hose clamps, and bingo!

Super sturdy, pretty much free highway pegs.

(edit: I will cut the excess off when I finalize the position)

I have the same engine guards. I found some bolt on pegs for around $20. They fold up when not in use, work great

Here are the pictures of the bolt-on pegs. I cut a piece of 3/4 " pvc to use as a bushing inside the clamp

highway pegs

anyone got any idea where I can purchase a set of highway pegs like this on web? I live in Canada. Cost of foot pegs is only $20, but the shipping is $25 on both amazon and e bay. I also have SW Motech engine guards.

I figured it out!! A good day is when you can't see through your visor or windshield b/c of the bug splatter!!!!

I found mine at the local Yamaha/Kawasaki dealer. Nothing namebrand, but worth the $20.00
