Aftermarket Foot Pegs

I am looking to buy some adventure style, replacement foot pegs to put on my V. Initial research led me to IMS ($90) and Sunline ($90-100), both with stainless steel, knobbed pegs. Does anyone have experience with these? Any other recommendations?

Do the KLR IMS pegs fit on the Versys?

Thanks Bear, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I've got some inquiries in the works and will probably make a decision next week.

I'm not sure if they make a set to fit the Versys, though...

You are correct, neither IMS nor Sunline make pegs that fit the Versys. Fastway makes a set that fit the DR650 so I'm researching that and a few others. Thanks for the input.

I found some stainless steel dirt bike pegs for my Vstrom at www.D2moto.com and they were $16.99. That's not a typo. I am trying to find out if they have any that will fit the Versys.

Buell pegs will work. The firebolt/lightning ones are around the same size as the V's but have around and inch drop. The Uly pegs are nice wide ones.

All I had to do was drill out the bolt holes a touch and they fit right on. The Uly pegs used to be about 40 a pair but it seems like they are pretty universally used as a drop peg for a lot of bikes. They are now 90 a pair.

fastway pegs are excellent, you can stand up and feel the confort on your feet, you'll feel more control on your bike when you stand up

100% recomended

Price? Link?
And they should fit the 07-09 V as well right?

Neat idea, but $150.00!? yikes! I almost choked on the 70 dollars I spent on the moose racing titanium pegs I adapted for my bike. Nice that they are making some especially for the V so the guys without tools can get something to fit. Just a little rich for my blood.

Buell or Speedy's??

It seems that the drop on the Buell pegs is approx. 2 in. ? is that a WAG or fairly precise? Besides drilling the holes are there any other mods for their install? We know Speedy's is 1.3 in. and a perfect fit, but is it enough comfort stretch for someone barely 5' 10" ? The answer to some or all of these questions as always, greatly appreciated. cheers, FG

Buell Ullysses pegs have a 1/2 inch drop.

I cannot get them to work comfortably w/ my speedy's lowering pegs.

Also they tilt forward a bit, which is ok when riding but maybe not when standing.

I had a set of DR650 pegs that were on my KLR till I sold it. I was going to sell them, then had the idea to try them on my '09. They fit and work GREAT! The bolt holding them on my KLR was a 3/8", while our V pegs use a 12mm one. VERY little difference between sizes, so I installed them with the 3/8 bolt instead of drilling them out.

I saw an ad. on Ebay for dirt pegs for the KLR, cheap, so I plan to buy a set and put them onto my '08 in AZ.
