Mirrors

Has anyone tried cutting with a hacksaw the stock mirrors just before the bend and threading the ends with the same thread as the bar end weight bolts? It seems this might be a easy way to get some decent bar end mirrors on the cheap. I'm thinking of trying it, if I do, I'll post pics of the process.

idea.
Not sure if the mirror being lower, would still be able to see the back over the shoulders? Anyway, trial and error, I guess.
Not sure if can bent the mirror more outwards.

Actually, bar end mirrors give you a superior view of whats behind you. Your shoulder isn't in the way anymore!

Okay Madmonkey. Sorry I thought you mention the normal mirrors. Not bar end mirrors.

Yup, you're right if using bar end mirror similiar like say CRG mirrors. It limits your space in lane splitting though.
