Squid alert !!! - ME?

When I bought the versys a few weeks back the previous owner had led lights installed. I am kind of more of a laid back guy instead of a look at me led light guy. But I gotta admit they look kind of cool. They flash and strobe, pulse, etc. has about 6 colors.

Sorry for the pic quality. Something with the lighting made it look grainy. ( iPhone 5)

Flame away!!

Don't know where you are from in the world but blue and red maybe illegal!

But only if a cop see's them!

Naw... blue and red lights are only illegal if facing forward. You can have them pointing down or rearward all you want.

I think you are right. In VA its not legal to run any color at all at any time per my state trooper neighbor.

But then again, he is a prick so I am gonna do some checking.

I dont think I will be running the blue ones on strobe just to be safe.

Yep... a lot of the police think they are the only ones that can have flashing lights. In most states they are incorrect.

The police don't have to be correct to completely ruin your day.

Correct or not, legal or not, squid or not, that's pretty cool. Not that I'd ever have the balls to do something like that - not at my age.

Saw a pair of Harleys some time ago outside a local restaurant with enormous numbers of lights like that in orange and green. I think they were towing a small generator behind one of the bikes. Looked like a pair of metal Christmas trees!

Oh, I almost forgot, the other Harley was towing a mobile repair station.

Hey, wait a minute. Does all this mean my rear-facing red brake light is illegal??

Anyone thinking about any kind of colored lights should check their local laws, specially if the lights flash or pulse. Here at least, the above statement is completely wrong.

That may or may not be a good thing. Imagine a cager waiting to turn left when you come bumping through the intersection with the round green light flashing in his peripherals.

To ME, a good "hey look at me" light (or other visual clue) shouldn't be something that could easily be mistaken for something else, specially something that COULD mean "GO" to the average brain dead cager.

Garage
When I am riding on the road, I DEFINITELY want the Cagers to LOOK AT ME! That is the best way to avoid being hit!

LOOK AT ME! I'M RIGHT HERE YOU STUPID CAGER!!!

I've never had a situation when people thought that I'm a traffic light...
the green is not a disc, is a ring and is not flashing...
I had a lot of people saying I'm VERY visible....sometimes people think I'm a police man...
and I like that... and when not, I use my Stebel
