Enclosed Trellis

This my seem a bit random ...but im going to order a Hugger from the UK, however in the mean time i need to try and keep some water off my wifes legs when it raining. ( too much lately here unfortunately)
So i was wondering if anyone has enclosed the rear trellis with say flexable plastic sheet, as a stop gap measure, or instead of a hugger, or is this "Fail" and if so are there are any pics that can be posted?

I haven't done it. But I don't see why you couldn't. You could just cut some pieces of sheet plastic and zip tie it to the frame or whatever. Heck, last fall I made a lower fairing for my KLR with some electrical conduit for a frame and just ran duct tape across it. For a temporary (and ugly) fix it worked just fine. Photos available by request.
I think your idea is just so different that nobody has tried it. Let us know how it works out.

I went the opposite way and just took the things off, but a little duct tape can work wonders for a temporary fix.

Well good old 'Paintbox' comes to the rescue
I've just done a mock up and although i think it makes the rear end look a bit heavier it doesn't look too bad.
