Question Mounting Fenda Extenda

Did a search on installation of the fenda extenda and there are plenty of great tips on how to glue it to the fender

More basic question that may seem obvious, but did you remove the fender It would seem that removing it to glue the extenda is either easier or mandatory

Which is it - duh

Never mind - I found this link on ADV and it explains the whole deal. Take the dang fender off.

That's not entirely true. Taking the fender off is probably the best way but it's not necessary.

You can use the tape that comes with it and put it on without removing the fender but you need to be sure to clean the back 1/3 of the fender real good. After that, do a test fit of the extender with removing the tape film. This is the hardest part because unless the bike is straight up and down, your eyes may play tricks on you.

If you don't stick it right, you can peel it back off (which is not cool) and correct your alignment and use at least 2 or 3 screws (which come with the extender) to firmly secure it to the fender. The screws will self tap so it's not too difficult... just use a nail to mark the spots and make a little starting indent.

I suggest screwing it on anyway.
