Handguards - redux

I hate to bring up the subject again but I just want to be sure of something before I go out and blow some $$$. I want to put on some guards but I have the Givi windscreen. After going through all the previous threads on the issue, it looks like I pretty much need to get some bar risers to get clearance from the screen. I'm looking at primarily wind protection so I want a pretty large set of handguards. It looks like the Rox risers will allow me to not only raise the bar but also move it back a tad. Am I getting this all correct or am I missing something. Also, what would be a good set of guards for my purpose? Thanks gang.

I have Multiconcept Touring handguards and the Madstad bracket. Works great with stock handlebars.

Do you have the Givi screen?

I've been getting conflicting reports on this. Enrage says there's a conflict in this thread http://www.kawasakiversys.com/forums...ead.php?t=2929

Are there different models of barkbusters? Can you be more specific about the arrangement you're using? Thanks a bunch! I'm ready to take the plunge but don't want to get upset if it doesn't work.

Yes, I have the Givi screen. In my opinion you're better off to put your money into the Madstad bracket over new handlebars if your intention is simply to ensure handguard clearance.

The Madstad bracket positions the windshield a little further forward than the stock bracket, which allows for handguard clearance. The only time I would get interference is if I tilted the windshield to a ridiculous angle (in other words, to allow the wind to blow straight into my face, which negates the purpose of a windshield).
