Vario Windshield

Will the vario interfere with hand guards? I didn't find it in my searches on the forum but I wanted to make sure before I shell out a couple of c notes. I have Mike's shield and like it a lot but it prohibits the use of any kind of hand guard. For instance today I got snowed on, rained on and a bit of hail too and I sure wish I had hand guards.

Ya know, I'm not. I have alot of noise and buffeting, and think it is worthless. I pulled an old windshield off of a goldwing and cut it to meet Mikeshields Touring windshield- 17'' tall, and it fixed it all for me. I can ride without earplugs, though I wouldn't. My shield looks terrible, I just wanted to see if his dimensions would work for me. The minute I get my tax refund, I am buying his. I think that flip screen on the Vario is kinda useless.

If you like your Mike's shield, why not get a Madstad bracket? It solved the problem with my Givi and Givi's suck when it comes to handguard compatibility. I still get handguard contact but only when the windshield is at a fairly steep angle.

And there's one for sale here (although when you read the ad an obvious question comes to mind):

Good suggestion Charly, I just ordered the Madstad. He is still giving the discount to forum members so I saved a couple of bucks. Plus I saved about 100 by not buying the vario and buying the Madstad instead.

Hi, what kind of KTM hand guards you have got. Do you have a KTM bike model it fits or part number. They are just black right?

Hey a few more questions about KTMs.
Can you send pictures of how they fit on the handlebar? Did you have to move the controls to install it? And did you re-reuse the V weights or you had to replace them?
