Frame Sliders and Exhaust

OK, I really don't know what to search for and they aren't V specific so where do I find Frame Sliders? Preferreable ones that I can choose a color.

Also, do you guys know where to find any good info on Exhaust besides what is posted here?

I am finding that Versys specific things are hard to come by. Maybe I am searching for the wrong thing.

you can search on the ninja650r forums for lots of exhaust info. there are specific frame sliders for the V, but they're kinda pricey. If you're good with a tape measure, you can probably adapt some R6 or other sportbike sliders to the front engine mounts if willing to get rid of the plastic radiator cover. The crash bars are pretty ugly, but probably the best protection. on the ninja forum, they say the akrapovic is the quietest and the muzzy and that other pipe (BOS?)with the slash megaphone tip is the loudest, if I remember correctly.

I think after doing a little research and weighing price, sound, and performance I am going to go with the Arrow exhaust.

I can get the Aluminum Slip on from pipecity.com for 233 with free shipping, the closest anyone in town can come to ordering it is a little under 300. The other exhausts just go up from there.

www.harborfreight.com has two options for $4.99 if you are in the US.

They are aluminum, so you could paint them or they will match the swing arms.

I made the mistake of getting sliders. One broke somehow on a road trip and the part that stayed with the bike was inside the threaded hole. Took hours in the hot sun to get it out. Never again. Now I use crash bars.

i think that the crash bars are safter for You and your bike. G.P.R. exhaust should do a good job.
