I have some leftover Passion Red

I had a local body shop dude paint the trim pieces on my Givi hardbags. He had to buy a pint of Passion Red. Told me he has over half of it leftover and he would give me a "killer" deal to paint something else on my 08 Versys just to use it up?

Has anyone painted the silver plastic side covers red? You know what I'm talking about, these? Would it look like crap?

Can anyone Photoshop some red on these so I know what it would look like?

Thanks for any and all opinons.

I think there's a decent chance that it will end up looking like too much red. With that said, I would do it anyway. You've got nothing to lose but a few bucks on labor. If he really gives you that killer deal, then it's worth a shot. If it does look like crap, you can always hit them with some Krylon Fusion black or dark gray or something.

Alternatively, you could hold onto the rest of the paint for touchups. Lastly, you could probably find a buyer here that will buy it to do their own Givi panels.

Good luck.

Many have painted them black along with the radiator covers. Black is optimal IMHO and blends well with engine and other black parts. Have him keep the paint for touch up on the red. Good luck

Yes, I second that... those silver panels are best left silver, or turn them to black. It would be too much red in my opinion...
I would save that paint and use it for touch ups when you need it, eventually you're gonna have a scratch or two or three on the bike.

or you can send it out to me I have a scratch or two or three that need touching up!

Paint the rear bars with the red, it looks awesome. A little like the monster.

I saw a photo of a bike painted like that, and it did look cool. That effect might look even cool on a bike that isn't red!

Buy an unpainted hugger, if you don't already have one, and paint it red!
