Low seat. From Spain. And very cheap.

Hi guys.

I did this the second day that I had my Versys.

I cut the foam seat seeing a picture of the optional seat of Kawa.
Then a upholsterer finish the work 20,00 = 25,00$

I low the seat +- 18 mm = +- 0.708 in

Here tha optional seat of Kawa cost +- 350,00 = 450,00 $

Good job on the seat. Wish i could have got the black bike. I may try the same thing if i need it. Had it done the same way on a BMW 1150 GS. Is it comfortable yet with the cut down. What is your inseam? I am only 29" and 5' 8" so i ordered speedys kit and having the dealer put it on. Still trying to figure out what shield so i can still see over it. Any adice? How tall are you seeing with the givi shield?

Hi Deano.

I'm 171 cm tall, and I have the Speedy's Loering Kit too.

About the low seat, it's only a few less comfortable I think, because I had it with its original shape only one day at the second day I do it. But it isn't hard.

I have the Givi windshield at the top position and with 3 cm less of seat I see still above the shield.

Now I'm waiting to receive the Lowering Foot Pegs Blocks. With these I'm going to have the original legs position, because the foot peg are going two down the 3 cm that I've lost with the low seat.

I had to calculate and you are the same height so that helps. I just got speedy's kit in the mail today and took it to the dealer and they are putting it on now. If it is done i will go back up and sit on it and ride it for the first time. That black one sure is nice. My last two bikes were black. Kaw. 650 R and a classic 1600 . The 650R was a really nice bike and i loved the engine but just too much leaned sport bike position and a terrible seat that was shaped like a log. 1600 was just too big and slow, but very comfortable and low seat. I am going to wait on the seat until i sit on this lowed bike. We did that with my wifes bmw 650F a few years back but they offered a lower kit option. Basic same thing we are doing. Your english is fine. Sure do like the black bike. Thanks for the help. I did order the tall kaw. shield so i will go from there. I don't drive in that cold of temp. so just want some off and my helmet not to push around. Not a lot different than when i rode the 1150 BMW GS. Just clean air. Neat to talk to someone from Spain. I think you have had these Versys over there way before we have here. thanks again Deano
