I have them. Personally, I wished I went with the crash bars instead. They look nice, but I don't see how they'll hold up in a crash. They're not made of delrin. They're a softer plastic/rubber type stuff. They might work in a parking lot fall over, but at speed, they're goners.

As far as price goes, that's about what I paid for them as well.

I just bought the Hepco Becker bars. After reading about sliders vs bars for awhile now and only seeing a post of the bars protection of the bike in a slide, I went with them. I think it was a post from Ocean, but I may be mistaken. That did it for me. I have yet to see how well the sliders protect the bike, either in a stand still drop over or slide. Hate to even speak of it, but one drop and the bars will pay for themselfs, from what I've seen, and comment such as the one from Bear confirm it. For Me.

Lot's of posts on this subject.

Well, the SW Motech Enging Guards are ordered already. They we're quite a bit more but like you have been saying really how much protection will they give in a slide skid. Thanks for the input.
