rad guard on the cheap!

got some steel mesh from canadian tire...cut it to size with a dremel tool.....bent the top edge to hook on to the rad ...a couple of clips on the bottom to hold it in place....about ...$10....

i agree about the paint.

i use primer and black semi gloss 500 degree engine enamel on my 85 suzuki gs550es which has all black on the engine

Went to Rona, $7 gutter guard, already painted black, used the full length and did doubled thickness. About 1 inch scrap left over, used black tywraps in several places to lock it together and then tywraped to the rad in the four corners. Looks really good and is really solid!Thanks to all the others that have posted this idea.
