bought this off ebay. no instructions there, also none on parallel item on aliexpress.
can anyone tell me how I should install this?
I'm also puzzled as to how the bottom side stays connected.
thanks. according to friend with same model of bike and guard the holes match. I will check. in the bottom picture you can see they supplied these strips of foam. Shall apply them.
I bought the exact same and found that the bottom actually stays firmly in place once the top bar is attached. I had to add two washers to the back as the nuts were falling out of the metal piece.
Double tape or cable tie should do the Job. Some guards have hook on top and bolts at the bottom , so you just hook it on and bolt the bottom which what I have and it has been in place for a very long time.
I bought a great looking Chicon guard a few years ago and luckily one of the holes lined up with the top bolts on the radiator. But there was a type flange overhang on the other side with a home to bolt down from the top of the radiator, but that lineup was not how my '09 is configured. Put it in a vise and straightened out that flange, cut off the flange section then drilled a hole to line up with the other bolt on the front of the radiator. Was easier doing that work than trying to send it back and get a refund. the seller/mfg. communicated with me that all of their guards had that kind of setup and that should have been the specs for my Ver. 1. He was wrong.
