Cheapest best mod I've done

Don't know how long it's going to last but improved my shifting by a mile with less than $5. I think the rubber makes it softer to the feeling and somehow I can shift smoother.
It also avoids cheapo boots deterioration....

Update: link for the shifter protector: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Rubbe...72.m2749.l2649

I got 2 on Ebay (have not arrived yet) . Paid $1.98 total with free shipping. Some people suggest a zip tie around the top to keep it from sliding off.

Shifter Skin - you can get them for about $10 at any motorcycle shop or CycleGear. I got one as soon as I bought the Versys. Easy to put on, come in different colors and save your nice shoes/boots especially if you ride to work!

Yes, they all look the same. I heard some cheap versions don't fit well or are not elastic enough for easy mounting that you need to put some lube for easy installation. Please let me know how those work for you.
