Help Please_Colour Code Versys Green

Hi all

A big HELLO and Thumbs Up from DownUnder !

Just signed up...because I thought you guys would know best!

I'm after the paint code for the Versys green (whatever green it is, here in Australia they only ever came in a sort of lime-candy-whatever green).

NOOOO...I haven't thrown the bike into the bushes, it's rather for a project bike, that the painter's already got in primer, yelling at me to get him a code.
Yeah...take it easy on a newbie, some people have strange tastes

Here's the ugly duckling:

No idea either who makes the paint (PPG??) or where else to dig for it.

Hope you can help

Cheers
Pete

YEEHA.... MANY THANKS for that
Strange...I'd been to the Color-Rite site yesterday, waltzed through their menus a dozen times but nothing green came up for the Versys

Whatever, your info should go a long way to getting this baby back onto the road soon....or rather....into the dirt
Thanks !!

Cheers
Pete

Right on... Is that a KTM headlight and front fender on your V Strom 650?

This might help you as well: http://www.japartsnl.com/Eng/Motorverf/kawasaki.php5

Thanks buddy !!

Yep, it's a DL650 with a KTM950 headlight, the "duckbill" upper guard is a modded aftermarket YZ250 item, the lower front guard is the remnant of an old TL1000S front guard, the tail-section of the bike is a modded CBR600RR piece, the front mask is a modded tail-piece of a Kwaka Z750/1000 (shortened both ends and narrowed, then heat-bend into shape).

The exhaust can is a Staintune aftermarket item originally sold for a Yammie TT600....again, heavily modded inside-out.

And the whole thing has lost a little over 17kg (~40lbs) so far...andf I'm not quite done yet.

Continental TKC80

Rear 150/70/17
Front 110/80/19

Wet weight (full tank) came to 171kg ( ~377lbs)....62lbs off the OEM specs.

By far, one of the coolest bikes I've ever seen! Nicely done, Glitch! I just recently saw this one on advrider. My jealousy runs rampant at your fabrication skills. Absolutely stunning!

Hi mate
Yeah, it's become a HUUGE thread on ADVrider...and there's no shortage of requests for parts, info....and also some serious purchase-offers.

It's been fun doing it, but being the third project-bike in a row (and the most elaborate built), I need a decent break.....and some good rides

Thanks for looking in

Cheers
Pete

They look like stock V-Strom gauges.

They sure are... one of the few items around the top-front that wasn't smashed/bent/damaged in the accident....so I used them again, it also made things easier, using a plug-in item rather than re-wiring the whole thing for a generic instrument cluster
