Chinese front fender extenders

Has anyone had an experience with these cheap $25 Chinese front fender extenders on eBay? Good fit? Stay on well enough with only 3M tape?

The adhesive tape will never hold by itself.
Use the tape to locate the extender and then three small nuts and bolts (with washers) to ensure a permanent, no maintenance fit.

I have used a piece of the side of a round black trashcan with a dremel.

Cut at the height where it is exactly 8" 1/4 diameter to have a good fit (over the fender, not inside).

I can probably do 6 fenders like that with the 10$ trashcan and tape, to total cost per fender is less that 3$.

I used Scotch heavy duty double sided tape and it is still holding strong after over 40000km doing regular offroad water/mud too.

(So I call BS to whoever says tape wont hold: buy better tape and clean the surface before you stick it.)

It is not as black as it can be when washed an siliconed, but who's looking... And it's removable when time will come.

Not a bad fit at all. Can't beat it for $24.50 to my door. Took forever to get here, but it eventually arrived.

Came with useless plastic fasteners (with a counterfeit Puig label) and fake 3M tape. Tossed those and just used a bunch of the real 3M stuff. I have confidence it will stay. I prepped the inside of the fender really well before sticking it.

oh yes you can beat 24$.
I can make 8 fender extender with a 10$ round garbage bin (21cm diameter is the exact curve) and 6$ roll of 3m heavyduty double-sided tape.
So, about 2$ each. This one looks better when cleaned and showroom silicon sprayed, but get the gist:
They get beaten enough that I refuse to spend more.

Hehehe! Thanks. I'm getting a lot more satisfaction from making it and solving a problem in a few days (if not same hour) than waiting 6 weeks for an overpriced plastic piece coming by boat across pacific... But yeah, I'm not into looks...

That's a great look and price, exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the post!
