Givi E41

Hi there,
Has anyone installed the Givi E41's on their V? If so, can you provide feedback and post a few picks?
Much appreciated.

Hi Rich,

I have installed them this spring and even though they are huge, I like the fact I can put my helmet in them and that you have access via the top keyless without having to open them all the way

How wide are they?

Thanks for the quick reply. Nice looking V! Can you give me an estimate on how wide they are (right outer edge to left outer edge) when installed on the bike?

Total width is 37 inches. Each case adds about 11 1/2inch. Hope this helps in your decision.

Hi ST. let me know what you would like to know about these and I will try to help you out. As for pictures, I do not have any other and the bike is currently in storage due to the fact that we have a few feet of snow and this will not go away until spring!

No problem, I was thinking to buy side cases same as you have. With rear bracket for monorack it will be so nice. Afterall side case E41 is possible to use like rear one.
What you think?

Just one question, abt thies PL fitment kits, monoracks made by "givi".. are they safe, pipe diametar, any cracks, problems..?

I do not think that the E41 can be used as a top rear trunk since they are not round and they come in pairs (left and right). You would need to use another Givi model.
As for the rack, it is about 1/2 tubing, very safe. I had a givi on my KLR before and did not have any problems and so far none on the Versys.
If you get the top rack with the side racks, they fit together. If you get only the side racks, you also need the fit kit (At least in Canada you do)
Hope this helps

Compact bags

What are the most compact hard bags for the Versys...

All I would want is something to put an extra sweatshirt and my lunch bag.

Nothing too bulky, I want the Versy to maintain its appearance...

What would be my options out there ?

I wonder I easy is to have a passanger while you have the bags one...

In the pictures below I am not sure how the passanger would reach the peg...

How about this....

I have the E21 bags and would like to have some E42s for the longer trips. Does anyone happen to know if they use the same racks?

Hey Josh, I installed the axio bag by wrapping the straps under the seat and then clipping the seat in place. So if I want to take it off, just realease the seat. It also assures it does not get stolen. The Axio comes with a shoulder strap if you want to carry it.

All givi bags use the same rack. That is one of the advantage of theses racks is that you can switch the cases (I had some Pelican cases fitted on my KLR givi racks) . You can also keep your hard bags when you change bikes and just buy a rack for the new bike.

Givi Website

I tried to find the cost for the E21 at the Givi website but did not have any luck...

I tried to find bags by choosing the bike but it only list on type of bags for the Versys...

Combersome website I believe...

How much are these bags and all brackets to get them installed ?

I use Pelican 1430's mounted to SWMotech racks. Like you, I didn't want large bags. They're 'utilitarian' looking to be certain, but are waterproof and tuffern' hell.

I'll take pics and post them back here.

I got the e21's for about $160 from TwistedThrottle last year. Nice size for a few days packing, I added a large top case and can go a couple of weeks now. The nice things about the e21's are the top loading and the size, they are smaller than the width of the bars/mirrors so splitting is a none issue.

If you do not need large bags, there are damn near perfect and dirt cheap.

Hello, hello to all..
Today I install one of two E41 on rear rack of my Versys with M5 plate.. In next few days plan is to order left and right rack for E41..
However thies E41 as rear case is loking very nice, few pictures I put for You.

Thks Actsr911 for advice to buy Givi, quality is very good, design even better. I deside for this combination like in town with one rear and longer trips two on sides + one bag on rear position..?

One more thing is many advantages of E41s compare to V35s..?
