Mods that needed to be done

OK maybe they didnt need to be done but I have been wanting to do these mods for a while.

1) Painted the top part of the side covers flat black. I figured it would make the nose of the V less obtrusive. V is a little more sexy now. In fact I think it looks OEM and the V should have come this way.

2) Replaced plastic push pins with real bolts and nuts on the instrument cluster surround. I also put a small screw through the front mounting tab. All buzzing is now gone!! WOOT!

3) Did the seat plate mod. With this mod and my foam removal that I did a year back this seat may be the most comfortable seat I have sat on in over 30 years of riding. Best part is it cost less than $1.

I absolutely love the setup you have... Just wished I could have lived with the vibes on my '10... Maybe if the 650 Versys stays around, Kawasaki might address the vibes issue... I would be the first in line to buy one at that point...

Your bike is a thing of beauty, though my friend...
