Its an Algard Engine Guard which is no longer made. Tinner a forum member here made some that were similar but he sold out and is no longer producing them. I'm going to sell mine for $200.00 shipped CONUS. I'll be posting it here in a few minutes

I'm going to gamble $65 that I can drill, dremel, bend, and make some simple brackets to make one of these into a gravel guard for the V. They make several shapes/styles and I've read that you can heat them up to bend new angles.

Out of curiousity... why are you selling it? Too heavy? Is the SW Motech one better?

Oh, ok... just sent you a PM.

I ride to work 4 days a week but go dual sport riding with KLR650, KTM, BMW riders around the Phoenix, AZ area. It would improve my riding confidence knowing that if the terrain gets rough the bike is protected underneath.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Looking for a Skid plate for my Versys

Hello, I was thinking on protecting underneath my Versys....
I really like that Algard model, especially cause you dont have to remove the original one....as I can see, this Algard protection is no longer available...
Do you know of any other model where you dont need to remove the original one?? hard cuestion......thanks from overseas....

If you ride in the cold weather the first stone to hit it really solid and it will shatter into a million pieces.

Finally got around to picking up an Acerbis skid plate to see if I could make it work as a gravel guard for the V.
Using the same options for mounting as others are using, took it for a test ride and it works great. Need to make a couple of minor adjustments/adaptions and will no doubt undergo a few mounting Revs, but I'm sure I will be a permanent fixture for unpaved wandering.
