Farklebar

I met the inventor of the Farklebar at the rally I just won (novice class). The farkle bar is basically a bunch of powered plugs and ram mounts with cord storage. CLICK HERE FOR THE WEBSITE. Works really well for him, here is a picture of it on his BMW. He ran an android phone, android tablet, GPS, and a spot tracker.

Holy s**t! With all those electronics staring him in the face, it's a wonder he has time to see where he's going. Then again, maybe he doesn't

Maybe there's an auto-pilot hidden in there somewhere so he doesn't have to trouble himself with the pesky problem of focusing on the road ahead while enjoying the wonders of modern technology.

The Farklebar is the focus; the motorcycle is an afterthought??

Seems pretty stupid to me. How would you feel if you saw someone driving a car with the exact same farkle bar mounted just above the steering wheel?

Can someone please explain to me why you would need a tablet, smart phone, and gps starring you in the face while driving?

Me?
None. But it looks like it is set up to ride rallies. Lots of Rally Riders will have two or three gps units on a scoot. Plus phone etc.

I will admit that I have never seen one of those pad thingies but I would not bet against it.

I am a little familiar with rally bikes. But very far from being an expert!

edited to add: I think the Versys would make a Fantastic Rally scoot!

Ride em if ya got em!

This guy does a lot of rallies, and he is a computer programmer. I placed 1st in my class on the V. Check out my thread: Won a Rally

Who cares what it looks like if it works? The Versys isn't exactly pretty either.

Getting something for free is always cool, but I'd probably look to sell it. I have a single RAM mount for my Evo on my left side. I stream phone calls, pandora and GPS instructions via Copilot Live through one device. Have never needed anything else and having controls compatible with my Sena bluetooth unit means I can concentrate on the road. If I need to fiddle with the phone for GPS routing I just pull over for a minute. Running that much stuff while riding just seems dangerous to me. Congrats on the rally win, that's awesome
