I found a used set of pegs very similar to these on Ebay. Also chrome.
Being anti-chrome like most of us here, my plan is to either just pain them flat black or attack them with a Dremel & wire brush wheel and then paint them. Just something to ruff them up a little bit
I've got a colleague that can get stuff powder coated for me for free. I have never asked about powder coating over chrome. Is that do-able?
I was thinking about prying off the rubber bits and getting the pieces powder coated and then gluing the rubber parts back on with Gorilla Glue or something. If that didn't work, I could always come up with some sort of rubber sleeve to cover the peg for traction. The ones I bought have a little lip on the outside edge, so I might even be able to get by without any rubber on them at all.
Any thoughts on the powder coating over chrome question would be most helpful.
Thanks
