RattelCan paint removal.

Thought i'd share a neat trick i learned this weekend.

The PO of my bike painted the cowlings black and i want to get back to the red. I got the correct Kawasaki paint from ColorRite but don't want to paint over the black.

I got the suggestion to try oven cleaner and it worked great!

Spray the part down good and let sit for a good long time (about an hour).

Then hit it with the garden hose set on the hardest stream. Most of the paint just flicks off!

For stubborn sections repeat. In the end i had to hit a couple of really stubborn spots with a scotchbright pad, but not many.

All done, ready for paint!

Nice look

That looks great! I like the low windshield. What are the gauges above the speedo/tach cluster?

Hey thanks!

Aren't those gauges cool. From AutoZone.
Compass, clock and temp.

My friend says i mostly like the compass because it serves as a "lean angle gauge". lol

On the right but just ambient temp not engine. The whole "rack" was $18.
