I had the riser 3D printed a while ago but finally got around to installing it yesterday. I wasn't having a big problem with the tilt of the seat, but figured I'd try it anyway. On a 45 minute commute to work this morning I could definitely tell the difference -- guess I had been pushing myself back in the seat more often than I knew. I'm sure this will make a bigger difference on longer rides. I'll likely get an aftermarket seat at some point, but in the meantime this is a great low-cost mod. AT 5'9" I can still (barely) flat-foot the bike with the seat riser in place and a thick sheepskin seat pad. BTW, you'll need two M6 x 40mm hex-head bolts, and two M6 flat washers unless you're using flange-head bolts. I think 40mm is minimum bolt length; others have used 45mm or 50mm. I went with stainless bolts and washers.

Hey everyone, I am still alive!

A few things, first thing is since I never set up my PM to email me notifications, I got busy with life and forgot to check my PM box for a while. o_0

But more importantly, I definitely cannot make the risers for people anymore. It is simply too much work managing everything, however, the files are out there on Thingiverse ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1775953 ) and there are TONS of 3D printing services that can manufacture the parts for around $10-$15 per part --- which is WAY cheaper than it costs for me to build it.

Good luck all, and ride safe!

thanks for making the ones you did. I am still using mine and it will go with the bike when it is sold or traded in. Take care, and glad to see your name. I also go for weeks without checking in.

Red face

Just letting Rawkstar320 know his 3D seat block is still going strong.

I downloaded your STL file and printed a set. Saves me from having to take a bunch of measurements to draw one up in 3D.

I printed a couple for my Versys bikes.

I have it installed and immediately felt a comfort difference for the better.

Hi,
If there is still an interest in 3D printed riser blocks, I made my own which provides the support at original locations of the seat, but adding 12mm height.
