Seat Release.... KNOB !

.
.
NARROW side case mounts are great, aren't they ? These fit so narrow that the case obscures the keyway for the seat release.

Rooted thru the lost & found.... nut, bolt, and bits drawer.... and discovered the perfect solution. Cut the head off of a spare key and epoxy it into this custom knob thingy !

Tune in NEXT week, when I'll have a perfectly good explanation of THIS picture....

KUDOS to you for coming up with such a simple solution. I am sure there are many folks out there detaching their side cases for the rare times they need under their seat. Does the key with the knob on it still work in the ignition?? Re: Explanation for last picture. No explanation needed. Looks less messed up and a much cleaner garage then most of us can probably claim. But, I am sure there is a fun story behind the picture anyway.

Forty years away from 2 wheel fun. Sure is great to be back smelling the roses!!!

I have to admit that I didn't try the modified key in the ignition.

And one would need to remove the side case in order to get the key/knob thingy out.

Actually, that's quite funny given the original objective.
