KLR side stand

So my 2010 model had a very sloppy side stand which I understand is quite a common issue
I read somewhere that a KLR stand is a direct replacement but is slightly taller and had a wider foot. Downside for me was the bikes aren't inbreeding uk so I had to buy the stand from USA and get it shipped to our nj office then forwarded to me!
I ramble on!
Tonight I decided to fit it and it was a simple job!
Bike sits much more steady also.
Very worthwhile modification

I'll get a photo tonight.
It curves around the swing arm and is no wider than the foot peg, even with the huge sticky out pin!

that's not an OEM feature, it was welded on at some point.

you're correct, it's unnecessary and needs to go.
