Some more Farkle's

So I wasn't sure if this was supposed to go under performance or cosmetics but here's my new temp gauge, cell phone holder and USB port.
I bought the USB port off of Amazon hooked it up and noticed that it has a blue LED light running all the time. Should I be concerned that this may drain down the battery? Or should I put an in-line switch on it does anybody else run USB ports and what kind do you have?

Physically add a relay or tap into a switched wire?

You should tap into a switched wire. Silvie's correct... even a small residual drain can kill your battery if you're not riding for a few days. Learned that the hard way a few years ago, with a power outlet (and it didn't even have a visible source of drain).

There's an easy source up front on the '15, '16, and I've installed both a gear indicator, and power plug - both switched. Don't know where you'd find it on your pre-'15 bike.

In the past, I've used Eastern Beaver products. The Versys doesn't have much room for a full fuse block, however, their 3-fuse (all switched) solution fits anywhere. His products are solid. Here's the link:
