Commuting Prep

Hi, folks,

I commuted on my V this Spring while it was still cool enough in Dallas to make it in without sweating (I work a white-collar job). I plan to start that up again once it cools off (October, maybe ).

There are a couple of items that would help out my commute and general errand running.

One would be somewhere I could hold a badge visible to guards at a security gate. Maybe something that attaches to the windscreen, or an armband. Does anyone have any suggestions?

For errands what would help me out is something that would go in my Givi E52 to hold items in place a bit better than the straps. I worry about items flying around back there after a quick run to an electronics store or the grocery.

Thanks for any help.

Carry a small (cheap) folding cooler in the trunk. It is padded so you can put things in it for protection, etc. For the badge holder, I would think any of those designed to be worn could be attached with zip ties or screws???

I think the cooler is a good idea. Thanks! That seems very practical and simple.

You're probably right on the badge holder as well. I might be able to fix something to the empty holes on the windscreen mount. I'm also still thinking about getting an armband as that also seems like a simple solution.

Seems to me that some skiers have an arm-band to hold their season's pass on the arm.

Exactly, that's one of the first items I found in the search I linked to above, and I think that's a promising solution.
