My GPS Mount Using Clamp Mount Base

The Clamp Mount Base comes with 3 bolts, one of which will replace one Camp Bolt. The bolt also accommodates the ball for the ram mount, yet keeps things snug as the original bolt.

Three things I like about it.

- Its Cheap - $14.95 with shipping @ themountdepot.com

- As opposed to having it mounted above the instrument cluster, I like it closer to me. Reaching above the instrument cluster makes me feel "unbalanced" and "awkward".

- I like the left-of-center mounting as thats the hand I would operate it with. Yet it still has a centered feel.

I can get my tank bag under it. I can see all of my instrument cluster as well. I am 5'11" .... I suppose a shorter rider might have a line-of-sight issue with the instrument cluster.

Kilofox, I looked at themountdepot site but couldn't find a picture that looks like your mount. Could you give me a little more info? Is that ball attached to the bolt that clamps the bars? Thanks.

Thank you. I ordered a similar setup with the universal diamond plate mount for a homemade shock mount I made for my old Garmin 2610. pics when done.
