OK. I will.

Also, Did anyone else have increased fuel ecconomy after installing a new pipe (DB killer still installed)?

Yesterday morning I tanked up and got 49+ mpg (us). Up to this point I have never gotten more than 46+

OR... could that have been indicative of an issue with the old exhaust?

Yeah, well I never did post the sound byte.... but I realized today on the commute in @ 73 mph / 5500 rpm that the sound almost completely melts away. Granted I still have the insert installed, but around town accelerating is mui mui tonal, and as soon as I get up to cruse 'altitude' I have to metaphorically reach to hear it.

Still fascinated by the improved fuel economy of the a/m pipe.

Mine had a 2 Bros fitted when l bought the bike, & it is a double edged sword in as much as the sound is great but when on long high speed freeway jouneys it gets a bit tedious!(fuel economy doesn't bother me, but when out "pootling" around with the missus on her cruiser, 60mpg is not a problem & I have acheived up to 63mpg!)

That's exactly why I ride with the insert in with my IXIL. The nice, raspy sound is there but the noise level isn't atrocious and doesn't annoy you when cruising (you don't hear it at speed). I tried riding without it and the low frequency booming was fatiguing in the long run.

My exhaust (IXIL SX1) actually came with two inserts. The small one makes the thing really silent, pretty much stock sound level, good for passing inspections but also squelches the thumpyness. The big one leaves the pleasant, rumbly tone but still cuts the noise to acceptable levels. You also have the option of riding without either, then you're heard from a block away (still softer than a Harley with straight pipes).

I don't believe that being obnoxiously loud in city traffic is actually safer. If a cager is driving with his windows up and radio playing, he won't hear you until you're passing him regardless of how much noise you make out the back of your pipe. I know I don't when I drive my car. So the insert stays

Also, no change in fuel economy for me.

That sounds like you had a lot of fun.

As far as safety goes with the loud pipes... I do like that I can blip the throttle at speed up to 8500 rpm and turn the head of the 100' radius around me; work out really well with the Porsche driver this morning.

Don't have a Versys, yet, but here's info about my 2012 Ninja 650 TB exhaust/fuel system.

My fuel economy dropped a couple MPG to 49 to 50MPG after installing TB full race exhaust with DB killer & TB fuel pro "Juice Box" map system on my 2012 Ninja 650. The decrease in overall economy probably has something to do with the twist of the right wrist. Probably got the curb weight down to 425lbs. Ride back roads in the foothills & mountains mostly with this bike.

One evening, saw a couple deer running straight at me make a 90 degree turn and run parallel to the road at the same time I rolled the throttle on half way through a curve! This exhaust is a little loud for me, but have to admit, believe the loud exhaust made the deer change direction and stopped them from running into me.

This bike runs strong with the TB fuel/exhaust systems, too!
