Disclaimer: I know being a slip on this should probably be under cosmetic mods not performance mods, but it is motor related.
Ok so I have been on the fence with a few exhaust systems for a while. I talked to the good people at Coffmans exhaust yesterday and they told me that on the 650R/ Versys I should be warned that no matter what it is loud. Like super loud. (too loud?)
The delkevic is nice and I like the carbon fiber, but I don't know about them. (looks cheap, is cheap?)
Most recently I found the IXIL and love the sound, look, ease to remove and put back the DB killers on/ off, and difference the DB killers make. Not loving the price though. (too much money for what it is?)
I know a lot of people on here like the quietness of the V, but I just can't do it anymore. I need noise, and I would rather hear my bike than the cagers tires on the freeway.
Coffmans: $220 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Wsgzsur2qE
IXIL: $315 ss - $350 black https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fe3zNbiCVBk
Delkevic: $225 ss - $270 carbon fiber https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGZFtImtlcs
Anyone care to chime in on what they know or think out of these three options. I am not going full exhaust. I just want a nice sounding slip on.
I have the Delkevic 8" or 9". It was on my bike when I bought it. i personally love the way it looks and fits. The sound doesn't bother me at lower rpm but that sucker gets pretty damn loud on the interstate. I bought a Delkevic 13" hoping to cut down on the DBs but have yet to install.
If you think it looks cheap (don't like it) then I wouldn't put it on your bike. But in my opinion it looks good and fits well.

I am considering either one of the IXIL's or one of the Dekelvic's myself. You will probably get some responses that the best legal ones are the Leo Vance's, but I think we are north of $400 which may be out of our price ranges.
Sold the Harley to buy the V. haha I don't know It's a toss up right now between the Delkevic and the IXIL. I might let my wife choose that way if I don't like it I can blame her, and if she hates it I can say "well you picked it out"
Oh, I don't think any aftermarket exhaust sounds that great. I like the looks of the Yoshimura the most but not enough to spend >$300 on it. So I kept my Versys stock and just ride and enjoy the bike as it is and for what it is. It's a darn good motorcycle.
2.) Have you ever removed that crap? Can't be too good for your health.
Yeap! we run without the crap...makes no difference on the environment. Remove and re config the internal pipes to produce the sound level you need.
A very cheap way and reduce weight and saves your pockets.
