Delkevic Stainless Headers Install

Delkevic headers arrived today. I know, cosmetic only change but think goes with the overall look of the bike. Can't wait to get them on. Nice build quality, was worried they would be thin wall tubing but not at all. Good conversation with company reps also.

Sweet ride. I didn't even notice the wire wheels at first. They suit the bike.
Do you have any details on the driving/spot light install ?

The headers are different than stock.

They do not have the connecting pipe that links the two headers together.

Take off the lower fairings plus the fittings and show off those sweet headers.

Yes, curious if any difference and why the connector, could just be for strength?

I believe those are added to increase torque, at the expense of top-end HP.

Does it have a crossover tube? Did your original header have one?

Those are the same one's i had put on my V. No crossover tube like the stock headers. They won't be shiny for long.

Oh yeah. That's what I vaguely remembered... It's good to know, because my Muzzy header has no crossover tube either, even though my original header did.

No crossover and yes stock headers do. Someone mentioned crossover is for torque and maybe more top end without. Is raining here so have not ridden yet.......

They look fantastic right now. I'm curious how they will age. Obviously they will discolor a bit but probably still look better than the originals.

I guess same as with the stock header. Although, with a buffing wheel on a drill and compound, should not be much of a hassle to keep bright. Think will like the look when they have the heat bluing color too after a few rides.

It had a crossover tube in 2007, 2008, and up to a certain model year... 2009 maybe? Then the second generation 2010 and up don't have one.

Probably, without an occasional buff, same with the stock pipes. What kind of seat is that, is that your bike?
