$20.00 Radiator guard

Wire found at Lowes , could not find at Home Depot Very easy to work with, I reversived the bolt clips on top of the radiator to hold wire.

I made something similar, but have 1/4" rubber gasket mtl seperating the mesh from the radiator tanks. That gives a little more buffer between the screen & the core + prevents the mesh from wearing into the tanks.

+1 for the homebrew solution. Perhaps you can add ssome thick nylon washers at your attachment points to raise the guard off the radiator to prevent any wear issues as mentioned. The rubber surround would certainly work too. Let us know how it works out for you.

Thanks

Right now the metal is not hitting the rad. because I made the attach points large enough not to hit the rad BUT adding some rubber around a the edges may be a good idea,
thanks cb
