snorkel removal ?

Anyone removed the air box snorkel? i just pulled mine out, but i live near Chicago and it maybe some time before its warm enough to ride. i also have a SV1000 and someone on the SV forum has dyno proof that it gained 3-4 hp in the mid range with just snorkel removal. also if anyone is curious about the fuel/air mixture they can download dynojet software and the map for stock Versys. then you can see at what rpm and throttle opening they added fuel.

Ohhhh! More Power! Arh, Arh, Arhh!

A friend of mine pulled the snorkle off his 650 Ninja last summer. He said that it felt like it had more power that way. But he followed it up by saying "...or maybe it just sounds like it has more power?"

I think invader did it. but you might want to read the article on the calsci site (yea, the windshield guys) about airboxes before you hack and hew, unless you're a top-end junkie.
