Soft tail bag

So I took my Givi 46L top box and all mounting hardware off and now I'm looking for some cost effective (cheap) storage. I'm thinking I want a soft tailbag that just straps down to the seat.

It doesn't have to have a ton of storage.. I'm thinking a pair of gloves, rain gear, and other odds and ends so I don't have to wear a backpack everywhere I go.

Have any recommendations?

I don't know just how to interpret "cost effective-cheap" but Cortech and First Gear have some nice soft tail bags. Try www.motorcyclesuperstore.com - they have a good selection. Good luck!

Rats! Should have known weljo would beat me to the punch.

Yeah.. I should have defined "cheap".. my definition will be different than Weljo's as he likes to burn $100 bills for fun.

Cheap = $50 or less.

(Though I do like the looks of the one he linked)

I see they have models for several different bikes. Is that the one that would most closely match the 2011 Versys?

Thanks but the $150 price tag violates my definition of "cheap".

It does violate the cheap criterion but it's a very good tail pack. Mounted on the passenger part of the saddle it makes a nice back rest for my aging spine & I really appreciate that. Plus it looks good - as if it's integrated.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I went with weljo's recommendation. Spent a bit more than I wanted to (that's true for everything on my bike), but I liked the OEM look and it has good reviews.

Ohhhh...found a $30 gift certificate to my local dealer so I'm getting it at the $50 cheap level I was shooting for!

I have one of the Cortech bags, and it works fine. I don't remember what I paid for it. One downside, is that it fades pretty fast to a strange blue/black color.

Is that Cortech tail bag (from the classifieds here) not gonna work for you? I got that bag for $80 (though I've seen them for less on clearance), $45 shipped would be even better.

I have an Axio just like brokenhats that's in great shape.

I'll take 50 bucks plus shipping for it if anyone needs it.

Thanks,
Dan

I have this one that came with the bike I purchased (used). Very nice. I took a change of clothes in it to a trail running park (including shoes) and it has smaller side pouches to hold your wallet, phone, etc. AND it will fit a 12 pack in it when you're on your way home.

Received my new tail bag today. Quality construction and matches the bike well. I like that it has Versys and Kawasaki logos. The only disappointing bit is that it doesn't have a rain cover. I'll have to find something to work as one (I'm open to suggestions). Looks like it will hold exactly the amount I was looking for. The rear section of the bag has a carbon fiber pattern that almost exactly matches the Seat Concepts seat cover I have.

Thanks Weljo for the recommendation.

Here are some photos:
