Gear Indicator

Has anyone installed one on the V? Ebay has them for 144 shipped and it's a plug a go installation. They don't say anything about mounting, as to if it goes on the bars or needs a holder. I'll do it but not sure I want to be the first g pig.

Rider Magazine (March 2009) gave this a very favorable review. Am thinking about pulling the trigger myself.

Save your money and learn which gear by feel and sound. That's one thing they stress at most track days.

I could probably use something like that, so it could tell me when I'm in 7th gear

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working

I haven't been able to find that 7th gear...keep looking for it, but just can't find it.

Steve

I bought a motorcycle because my wife said that I couldn't! Now I have two and she still says I can't have another one!

I have the GIPRO unit on my V and it is VERY nice indeed. Mine is not like the one recently tested in Rider (which is what I had on my V-Storm). It is much smaller and does not include the timing control feature. True plug and play, 100% accurate and just sticks on with double face tape. Mostly I rely on sound and feel but there I times I like to be able to check my gear with a glance.
