exhaust talk again

I own a 2015 V650. Love the bike but not the extremely quiet exhaust. Not real interested in adding performance but am jealous of my sons "Two Brothers" slip-on pipe that is installed on his 2013 Honda CB500F. It sounds awesome! I would like to start compiling a list of those who have changed the stock exhaust on Gen3 bikes and what they did. Example: Leo Vince system or IXIL. OK guys and gals lets hear it. Thanks.

When I bought my '08 it had a Two Bros exhaust installed. I thought it was pretty cool and lived with it for a few months before I came to the realization that it gave me headaches on anything but short rides. Loud exhausts sound good passing by but it's different when you carry the racket along with you constantly. Fortunately the stock exhaust was also included; I re-installed it and sold the Two Bros to another forum member. I hope he is still happy with it.

In the end it boils down to, "to each his own."

As you said but his exhaust is much more mellow. If it gave anyone a headache I'm sure they wouldn't be one of the most popular exhaust on the market. He says my bike sounds like his grandmas sewing machine. lol

I really liked my Yoshi slip on muffler on my '08 V. I have a thread on my install on this forum. It was much lighter than stock, it sounded great, and it did not give me a headache.

I will put it up for sale soon on this forum. I believe it would fit all gens of 650 V's

[I took it off my V before I traded up to a bigger bike].

As the Gen 3 V650s have a one-piece exhaust, it might NOT fit them.

Thanks. Good to know.

My Yoshi is set up to fit the two piece 650 V exhaust only.

I'd only consider the Arrow or the Leo vince exhaust on a Versys with the baffle in. It's a fun bike (dirt bike like) with the bigger exhausts, but it loses a whole bunch of lower end. Performance losses are noted.

Personally I'd get the Leo Vince, has a nice deep sound and isn't as loud as many others. On a 2015+ any exhaust may be pricey due to needing a full system. As for sound, it will sound almost exactly like the CB500 as both bikes use 180 degree parallel twins.

Hi Rayj,

I had the Yoshi muffler listed in the For Sale section of the forum in February. It eventually sold, along with a large amount of other farkles.

Ride safe.

I missed it, having not spent much time on here in January and Feb. Take care.
