Question H&B Engine Crash Bars VS Handling

I just installed a set of H&B Engine Crash Bars on my Gen.1 KLE650A. The handling appears to have changed dramatically. I've only put ~20 miles on it so far, so take it with grain of salt until I can put some more miles on the setup!

I'm going to put a little more air into the tires and increase the front fork preload to see if that helps. Right now, I'm noticing slower steering and the heavier front end gets dragged by road imperfections such as slight tire ruts.

Has anyone else experienced this decline in handling performance after installing engine crash bars?

EDIT:
I found the culprit is a rear tire slow leak, not the crash bars.

Did you get a chance to ride the bike after you put air in the tires.? The crash bars should not affect the handling .

Thumbs up

Yep, I just rolled the bike out to investigate and found the rear tire has a slow leak. Problem solved!
