Appropriate Pirelli MT 60 Tread Depth?

Hey gang,
Did a bunch of looking around and was not able to get a real good bead on what's acceptable tread depth on a pair of otherwise good looking (no dry rot or anything) Pirelli MT 60's?

Does the penny-Lincoln-head-check serve for m/c tires (couple 32nds of an in.) as well as cars?

Bought the bike with the MT 60 on it and I like the tires fine but am unsure of the miles, so just wondering when I need to start being on the lookout.

Thanks for your input!
Eric

I don't think it's very deep. I'm getting a fresh one this week and can give you a better idea when it gets here.

Are there wear bar indicators on the tire? That should let you know for sure. And if you're only riding street, wait till you see cord.

Hey gang,
Any further update here? Ya, basically 99.99% on road (tires were on the bike when I bought it) so I guess I can wear em down to nothin, or close?

Thanks all,
E

If it is dry road then wear them to the cord if you want.
