ow to replace exhaust with KAT

Hi,

I have a 2009 Versys with an Exhaust incl KAT.
I would like to replace it with a a new sport-exhaust.

Altough they can be order sometimes with a KAT it is cheaper without KAT.

I'm thinking of Laser(double cans) / Ixil (doubl cans) / Hurric RAC1(cheap?) or G.P.R. (looks great)

Is is just replace or do I need do put a O2 elliminiator on it?

Who has experience on the obove Exhaust brands

Thanks John (NL)

It doesn't matter if you get an exhaust with catalytic converter or not. You don't have to disable your O2 sensor. It's only if you want to use fuel management like Dynojet's Power Commander. Then you could use oxygen sensor eliminator # 76423007.

Most aftermarket systems have the fitting for the oxygen sensor.

Oh yeah, good point ttpete. Available european exhaust slip-ons should have the O2 sensor bung already welded on.

Wait a minute... Are you in NL as is Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada, John? If so, you don't even have an O2 sensor to worry about. European made slip-ons also include a plug for the bung if used without an O2 sensor or eliminator.

yes its the Netherlands.

So it's going to be the Hurric or Laser because they are with 15% discount this weekend. The difference is 400 Euro's, so it's a lot.

On the other hand, on my former bike (Pegaso) I bought cheaper Marving exhaust, cheap but need some mechanical work to fit :-(

So I shouls expect that the Lasers quality is better.
