19" Front Wheel

Does anybody tried or think about install a 19" front wheel like most of the Adventure bikes in a Versys?
For dirt roads I think it would be very helpful...

IMO the beauty of the Versys is in combination of 17 inch rubber both ends and semi-long travel suspension. If you really intend to do any significant adventure riding then something like my DR650 or a KLR650 with 21 inchers would do the job. Another great option is swap your V for a 650 Wee Strom. Swapping to 19 inch front on V seriously reduces street capabilities. Sorry but I just don't get it.

So instead of a unique street bike you wind up with a run of the mill adventure bike.

Read JDRocks threads, been covered in detail - how to do it, what to do, the whole shebang.

It's funny though, if you read the V-strom forums they are looking for a way to put a 17 on the front for better road handling. I guess bikers are just never happy with what they have!

Yeah... Im just collecting opinions from you guys... I agree that the "V" has a very good handling as it is... about the VStrom, to be honest, I dont like it!
I think Ill invest in my (F+R) suspension as my friend Gary (DBD32) does (http://www.hyperprousa.com/catalog.p...type=COMBI-KIT)

There is no more truthful statement than that! I guess motorcycles are like women.... Once you have been with one a while, you start checking out other models!
