Search is your friend. There's tons of threads and lots of photos on slip-ons here, but apparently you're the first to mention LXIL Hyperflow....

Slip-ons listed for ER6/Ninja 650R only fit the Versys if it mounts to stock bottom mount (so I may want to delete some from my listing), although some Versys specific slip-ons bolt up to footpeg frame mount.

I looked and listened to a variety of slip on mufflers and chose the CherryBomb car muffler option. I think it sounds the best and cost me about 40.00.

Hey, bike looks great. I just bought a 2011. did you have to do anything to the bike to get the new exhaust to work with the bike. on my old klr i had to re-jet but the versys doesn't have carbs so obviously not applicable. any difference on performance, fuel economy etc?
Thanks

No power commander or anything unless you modified the air box somehow. Butt dyno says it has more power. Power wheelies are easier.

I'm not running a power commander and the bike runs just fine. I really didn't notice a performance gain but certainly noticed the weight loss. It is amazing how heave the stock exhaust is. I think the only way to mount up the Cherry Bomb is via welded on brackets. The straps don't look good and aren't nearly as secure.

If you are planning to remove the Trellis/rear footpegs consider an exhaust that exits underneath. The Versys has a beautiful swingarm with a nice clean look which limited my choices quite a bit. I wanted a Yoshimura but got the Jardine due to my obsession with minimalism and seeing the entire swingarm. If you want alot more power, buy a faster bike. Life is too short.

I got the arrow slip-on.

Is it really suppose to be that loud? It was much louder than I anticipated, an I felt for leaks but didn't seem to have any leaks lol...that's without the silencer...

I installed a Dark Arrow slip-on a few months ago and am quite satisfied with it.

At first I had the baffle out, but it was a bit too loud for my taste. But with the baffle in it only slightly louder than the stock and it produces a subtle 'rumble' I really like.

I also like how the black color and non-obtrusiveness of the pipe compliments the bike.

fisheadlee - thanks for posting this question. And thanks to all for your responses. This has turned into a great resource having all these in one place.

In the short time i have had my V the only complaint i have is the sound. Just can't get used to the sowing machine buzz... I think i have a pipe in my very near future.
