new kenda tire

-----
Kendaís Big Block is the brandís first tire for adventure bikes. Itís scheduled to begin shipping before the end of the year. Kenda says it designed the tire specifically to meet the demands of high-powered adventure motorcycles such as those from Yamaha's new Super Tenere, BMW, KTM and Suzuki. Large tread blocks improve tread wear and high-speed handling. A high-impact, bias-ply casing structure resists punctures. A bias-belted casing improves handling and stability. The rubber mound was designed specifically for wet and dry packed terrain. The Big Block is DOT- and E-mark-approved and will be available in front sizes 110/80-19, 100/90-19 and 90/90-21 and rear sizes 150/70-17, 150/70-18, 130/80-17 and 140/80-18.

Edit:

100/90-19 - $115.99
110/80-19 - $113.99
90/90-21 - $92.99
130/80-17 - $105.99
150/70-17 - $153.99

So it's another tire that doesn't fit the Versys.

The stock tires are:
Front 120/70-17
Rear 160/60-17

Just running the numbers the Kenda 17’s look like they might fit fine. Of course you’d have to raise the front fender to accommodate the 20mm higher sidewall but you’d want to do that anyway for riding the roads these tires are made for.

It's for the raised fender crowd. One more option for a more ds type tire.
